Associate Curriculum Writer /Editor

The Write Connection (TWC) is a premier learning centre specialising in the teaching of English and Writing skills. We are looking to train associate curriculum writers and editors to become specialists in creating materials for teaching English and Writing in the highly respected TWC Way.

 

WORK HOURS AND LOCATION

 

Work days: Monday to Friday

Work hours: 9am to 6pm

Work location: The Write Connection Headquarters 

As an Associate Curriculum Writer/Editor, your primary focus will include the preparation, writing, proofreading and editing of TWC’s curriculum to be used in the classroom as well as other publications for TWC. Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you will work together with TWC’s Curriculum Team to ensure the smooth delivery and quality of TWC’s curriculum.

Your job responsibilities include:

 

  • Create and review high quality content for learning/teaching materials

  • Edit content of curriculum

  • Proofread written work

  • Proofread and edit TWC’s publications 

  • Coordinate workflow within curriculum team and other relevant teams

  • Other duties associated with the role and assigned by your line manager

Requirements

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
 

  • Degree qualified by a reputable university in a related field (Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Communications). 

  • Qualifications in editorial work and/or English teaching are desirable

  • Distinctions for English at PSLE, O’ Level English and ‘A’ for GP

  • Meticulous, high quality work standard

  • Strong work ethic

  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and possess strong organisational skills

  • Familiar with using Microsoft Word for layout

REMUNERATION

 

Entry level

Base salary: $2500 to $2800 (salary commensurate with experience)

*Academic and English grades are emphasised for this job because you are applying for a technically demanding academic position to teach English and Writing skills.
