P4 Writing Task: Exploring Different Perspectives – Rewriting Cinderella

During the December holidays, our Primary 4 students took on a delightful writing challenge inspired by the classic tale of Cinderella! Instead of retelling the story in the usual way, they tapped on their creativity to rewrite key scenes from the perspectives of the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming. By exploring different points of view, our students discovered how a single scene can take on new emotions, tones, and meanings when told by another character. Exercises like these do more than strengthen writing skills. They encourage students to think critically about character, perspective, and voice, an essential step towards becoming thoughtful and expressive writers. This is how we ignite imagination and nurture originality in our students.
