We’re collaborating with specialised debate trainers this Nov/Dec holidays to bring this exclusive masterclass to your child!

Course Overview

Duration: 3-Day x 4 Hours | Course Fee: $654 (incl. GST)

Day 1

Foundations of Debate

  • Introduction to what debate is and how it works

  • Key concepts: arguments, rebuttals, and debate etiquette

  • Learn how to form and share their own viewpoints

  • Practise speaking up with guided disgussions

Day 2

Building Strong Arguments

  • Learn how to structure and organise clear arguments

  • Understand basic debate formats and techniques

  • Develop ideas through group discussions

  • Practise delivering short, structured speeches

Day 3

Debate in Action

  • Recap key skills and concepts from previous sessions

  • Learn the roles of different speakers in a debate

  • Apply their skills in a mock debate (competition-style)

  • Receive individualised feedback from coaches

This holiday programme addresses a common challenge faced by many children in this age group: reading confidently. By learning to sound out unfamiliar words phonetically, your child can become a more confident reader. Students will:

  • Build a strong foundation in phonics by mastering letter sounds, blends, digraphs, long vowels and multisyllabic words.

  • Strengthen reading fluency through daily practice, engaging games and take-home review materials.

  • Explore key current affairs topics related to technology (e.g. Artificial Intelligence) that commonly appear in oral and expository writing.

  • Learn to analyse issues critically and craft well-supported arguments using structured thinking frameworks.

Ryan enjoyed himself during the three days of the Children’s Literature and Philosophy Holiday Programme. As the programme progressed, he opened up and expressed himself more. I found the programme interesting, and the teacher made it fun and comfortable for the students. Ryan looked forward to his lessons – he was always talking about what he had learned and would share with us the topics to be discussed in the following lesson.
