The Write Connection (TWC) is a premier learning centre specialising in the teaching of English and Writing skills. We are looking to train aspiring teachers to become specialists and leaders in teaching English and Writing in the highly respected TWC Way.
Successful candidates at the end of the apprenticeship will be offered a full-time 2-year contract as a Teacher. You will be working at the following TWC centres: TWC Bukit Timah, TWC Parkway Parade, TWC Jurong Gateway, TWC Bishan, TWC Bedok, TWC Tampines, TWC Toa Payoh, TWC Sembawang, TWC Punggol Plaza, TWC Woodlands or other new locations as our organisation expands.
As a Teacher, your primary focus will include the preparation and teaching of TWC classes, the meticulous marking of the work from your students, and close follow-up and service to parents of your students and all stakeholders. You will be working closely with your Reporting Officer, your centre teams as well as independently to ensure the smooth delivery and quality of these services.
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
Degree qualified by a reputable university in a related field (Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Communications). An Honours degree is preferred.
Willingness to develop teaching skills and attributes to teach and support students of all learning abilities and grade levels.
Possess high emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders.
Must be familiar with the Singaporean education system and requirements of various examinations. It is an advantage if you have taught in a reputable centre in the same industry and have a good track record in producing stellar results in your work.
Must be willing to work according to TWC ethos and pedagogy.
Willingness to work at multiple TWC locations if required.
Excellent academic and leadership track record, particularly in English, English Literature and General Paper (GP). Please state your English and GP grades in your Cover Letter.
Excellent work ethic.
Desire to pursue a long-term career at TWC
Must be able to work on Friday nights (12.30pm to 9.30pm) and Saturdays (8.30am to 6.30pm).

TAP Cohort of 2020
1) Apprenticeship Training Period (17 May 2021 – 17 August 2021): $2800 (base salary)
2) Full-time Teaching Specialist Contract (from 17 August 2021): $3200-$5000 (base salary)
Full-time package depends on performance during apprenticeship, your qualifications and work experience.
Offer will be given at the end of the Apprenticeship Training period.
2-year full-time contract, renewable upon completion.
