TWC’s Teaching Apprenticeship Programme (TAP™)

Our Teaching Apprenticeship Programme (TAP™) offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals with limited or no teaching experience to explore the field of education. Apprentices can look forward to gaining hands-on practice and the necessary training to become educational specialists and leaders in teaching English and writing the TWC way.

In this programme, Apprentice Teachers will receive comprehensive training via workshops conducted by teacher-leaders, designed to train and equip aspiring teachers with the required skills and technical knowledge. Apprentice Teachers will also receive on-the-job training and mentorship from senior teachers to improve their instructional techniques, assessment skills and classroom management skills.

Can I Apply?
You don't need prior teaching experience. We're looking for potential.
Hold a degree from a reputable university, preferably in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or Communications is a plus.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to build meaningful relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Added advantage if you are familiar with the Singaporean education system and requirements of various examinations.
Are passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary school students.
Are eager to develop your teaching skills and support students of varying abilities.
Are able to manage a teaching load of up to 12 classes each week, including lesson delivery and marking.
Believe in nurturing confident, independent learners and are willing to embrace TWC's teaching philosophy and pedagogy
Available to work 5 days per week, either:
4 weekdays + 1 weekend, or
3 weekdays + 2 weekends
Remuneration

Stipend during TAP: $3,200/month during the 1-month training period

Salary upon completion: $3,800/month upon successful completion of TAP

To note:

Successful candidates will be placed on a 1-month Apprenticeship period.

Upon successful completion and passing of the Apprenticeship period, candidates will embark on their 2-year teaching contract.

After successful completion of the 2-year teaching contract, teachers will be offered a permanent full-time position with TWC.
